We approached Cape Town Pride, an organization that advocates for the rights of the LGBTIQA+ community, and offered to help redesign their website. The project’s primary objectives were to create a modern website that is more representative of the community and has the functionality of an event which allows them to showcase the many events they host annually. We aimed to deliver a website that reflects the organization’s vision and values while providing a seamless user experience.
Cape Town Pride
Overview
Our team held an initial meeting with Cape Town Pride to understand their requirements and goals for the website redesign. We also conducted a website audit to identify the website’s weaknesses and opportunities for improvement. From our findings, we concluded that the website was outdated, had a poor user experience, and lacked essential features.
Old Website
Based on the findings from the discovery phase, our design team developed a new website design that aligned with the organisation’s vision. We created a design that features a modern and visually appealing layout with a prominent header image that reflects the organisation’s inclusivity. We also included clear navigation menus to make it easy for users to find what they are looking for on the website. We also incorporated an events functionality to the website that displays upcoming events, their dates, and the venues.
New Website
The Cape Town Pride website now has a modern and visually appealing design that aligns with the organisation’s mission. The website now provides an enhanced user experience with clear navigation menus. It is also accessible on multiple devices, making it easy for users to access it from anywhere. The new website design has helped promote the organisation’s events, leading to increased attendance and engagement.
