The unveiling of a new logo marks an exciting chapter for Paris Basketball as the team prepares for the upcoming season. Revealed in the majestic surroundings of the Eiffel Tower, the new logo reflects not only the ambitions of the team but also the city’s vibrant energy, celebrating the close of an exhilarating Olympic and Paralympic summer.

A New Era for Paris Basketball

Paris Basketball, founded in 2018, has always been a symbol of Parisian pride and competitive spirit. With this rebrand, the club reinforces its vision of promoting Parisian basketball on a global stage. The logo, designed by renowned Parisian graphic designer Tyrsa in collaboration with the YARD agency, preserves the team’s connection to its roots while introducing bold, symbolic energy.

At the heart of the design is the Eiffel Tower, an emblem of Paris, integrated into a basketball to represent the club’s ambitions both locally and internationally. A vibrant star at the centre symbolises the creativity and talent of Greater Paris, underscoring the unity between the city and its basketball community.

The New Logo Design

The new logo is a striking blend of simplicity and symbolism. The circular design, featuring the Eiffel Tower within a basketball, highlights the team’s deep roots in Paris. The star at the centre radiates ambition and creativity, while the red, white, and blue colour scheme mirrors both the French flag and Paris Basketball’s identity.

A clean typeface complements the minimalist design, ensuring legibility and modern appeal. The logo is also versatile, with variations that adapt seamlessly across different platforms, from digital media to merchandise. Whether in full-colour or monochrome, the logo remains visually impactful, maintaining consistency and flexibility across branding.

Evolution and Ambition

David Kahn, Paris Basketball’s co-owner and CEO, described the unveiling of the new logo as a landmark moment in the club’s history, coinciding with its first appearance in the prestigious EuroLeague. Tyrsa, who has followed the club since its inception, aimed to build on Paris Basketball’s DNA while incorporating fresh elements that reflect both the city and the global nature of basketball.

With YARD’s involvement since the club’s creation, this rebranding brings years of brand development to a culmination, presenting an identity that is authentically Parisian while shaking up the norms of European basketball branding.

Looking Ahead

Now the most-followed basketball club in France on social media, Paris Basketball is positioned as a leader not only in French basketball but also on the European stage. Fans will witness the new identity in action at the club’s first EuroLeague home game at the adidas arena on 4th October, as Paris Basketball continues to expand its reach and develop its brand.

This rebranding is a testament to the club’s ambition to elevate basketball in Paris and beyond. By merging the city’s iconic symbols with a forward-looking design, Paris Basketball is set to make an even bigger impact, resonating across Greater Paris and the international basketball community.
